Digipak Poster Plan:

What Have I Learnt?
During this task, I have planned where I will place the text and images on my digipak and digipak poster in order to make it easier for myself when I create them. On my digipak, there will be lots of bright images that reflect my artists personality. I will also have bold text that stands out so that it will engage audiences. I will have a similar theme on my digipak poster and I will use a similar image to keep it consistent.

Task 21:

Location and Actor Planning

What Have I Learnt?
During this task, I have learnt that it is important to plan and view your location in case it is not suitable for your idea. We have looked into both our locations and viewed them to make sure they are fit for purpose and will give our music video a professional feel. It is also important to plan actors as the actors you plan to use may not always be available which can cause problems when filming.

Task 19

Music Video Planning - Your Video Fashion and Props Planning

The props and costumes we have chosen for our music video is suitable for our genre of pop.  Many pop music video's include casual or colourful clothing and props that make the visuals aesthetically pleasing to an audience. For our music video, we wanted to draw our audiences attention to our visuals, hence why we have chosen neon, bright lights among the dark location. We will be using these bright colours in the performance to provide a contrast with our narrative as the narrative will be very plain and casual.

What Have I Learnt?
By doing this task, we have helped to create ourselves a narrative and performance by adding props and costumes to our original ideas to create something better. We are planning to purchase these items from Ebay as they are at affordable prices, however, we will be borrowing the UV light and paint from the school, and our actors will provide their own casual clothing in order to cut down on the cost.

Task 18:

Initial Pitch Idea's

Task 17:

Lyric Analysis

What Have I Learnt?
In music videos, there is often a relationship between the visuals and the lyrics. By doing this lyric analysis, we have gained inspiration of some idea's that we would like to include in our music videos narrative and performance in order to relate our visuals to the lyrics of the song. This could emphasis a word or reflect/demonstrate something in the video, for example, using a slow motion effect on the lyric 'in slow motion' could  emphasis time going slow.

Task 16:

Your Genre Research

What Have I Learnt?
During this research task, I have looked at various pop music video's in order to see what the genre typically consists of. Whilst doing this, I have noticed that pop videos, although feature a lot of performance, generally have a narrative that links to the lyrics of the song. I have also noticed that the location of the narrative are often in an every day place, for example a school or hotel. Depending on the song, the artist also often wears lots of makeup and fashion that stands out from the rest of the performers in order to be identified easily. They also use a wide range of camera angles, editing techniques and fast cuts in order to keep the audience engaged. These are all something we will take into consideration when planning out our music video,
